Exciting Weather

I am sure everyone heard the storm St Jude on Sunday night and saw the effects of the strong winds in the morning. Fortunately technology is fantastic and we knew the storm was on the way.
I am looking forward to setting up our school weather station this half term and discovering if we can begin to make our own predictions.

Golf fun

We had a great staff outing at Top Golf. I wonder how many different directions we managed to hit the balls. Could be a fun way to learn compass points on the school field!

Forest Club

There was lots of activity in the forest today despite the miserable weather. We made a fantastic ball run using guttering and the dens continue to become more elaborate by the week.

Eco Council visit How Dell School

The Eco Council enjoyed an interesting and inspiring visit to How Dell Primary today. Our children met with the Eco Squad from How Dell who showed us around their amazing school. The children shared ideas and came home ready to initiate some new projects. We look forward to How Dell children visiting us in November so we can show them around our Forest School.Wind Turbine

Monopoly

I saw some coasters on sale with Monopoly street names on and it made me think how many geographical activities could be linked to this popular board game. Children could make their own boards with streets from their local area. They could research local property prices, make up chance cards linked to local services/amenities/shops and hopefully gain confidence in handling money.monopoly-new-tokens_jpeg-1280x960
